Application Method
Step 1: Prepare the Surface
Identify the leakage point and remove loose concrete, mortar, dust, and other weak materials. Prepare a sound opening suitable for mechanical plugging. Avoid leaving loose or feather-edged material around the repair.
Step 2: Prepare the Product
Place a small quantity of CHEMFIX WT-PLUG powder in a clean container. Add clean water gradually and mix to obtain a workable, stiff paste. Prepare only the quantity that can be applied immediately.
Step 3: Apply to the Leakage Point
Press the freshly mixed material firmly into the prepared hole or leakage opening. Maintain firm pressure during application and follow the product’s verified setting characteristics.
Step 4: Allow to Set
Hold the material in position until it has sufficiently set. Avoid disturbing the repair during the initial setting period.
Step 5: Complete the Waterproofing Treatment
Once the leakage has been controlled, inspect the repaired area. Where required, apply a compatible waterproofing system over the surrounding surface to provide a more comprehensive long-term solution.
Important Application Guidelines
– Mix only small quantities at a time.
– Do not add extra water after the mixture begins to set.
– Do not remix or reuse material that has already started setting.
– Use clean tools and suitable protective equipment.
– For high-pressure leakage, flowing water, or large openings, consult a qualified waterproofing professional before application.
– Always conduct a site assessment for critical or below-ground structures.
