CHEMFIX ANTI-RUST

Acrylic-Based Interior & Exterior Damp & Waterproof Coat Protect Your Walls. Reduce Moisture Penetration. Improve Durability.

CHEMFIX DAMP X COAT is an acrylic-based protective wall coating developed to help reduce moisture penetration and protect suitable interior and exterior wall surfaces. It forms a protective coating that helps resist water penetration while maintaining good adhesion to properly prepared cement plaster, concrete and masonry substrates.

Designed for building maintenance and wall protection applications, CHEMFIX DAMP X COAT is suitable for residential, commercial and other construction projects where dampness protection and surface durability are important.

Its performance depends on the substrate condition, application method, coating thickness and environmental exposure.

—

Uses

CHEMFIX DAMP X COAT can be considered for the following applications, subject to substrate suitability and product performance testing:

– Interior cement-plastered walls
– Exterior plastered walls
– Concrete wall surfaces
– Brick masonry and block masonry
– Residential and commercial buildings
– Renovation and maintenance projects
– Suitable wall surfaces requiring additional moisture protection

—

Benefits & Advantages

– Damp Protection: Helps reduce moisture penetration through suitable wall surfaces.
– Water Resistance: Provides a protective coating against water exposure when properly applied.
– Interior & Exterior Use: Suitable for appropriate internal and external wall applications.
– Acrylic-Based Technology: Designed to provide adhesion and protective film formation on compatible substrates.
– Concrete & Plaster Compatibility: Suitable for properly prepared cement plaster, concrete and masonry surfaces.
– Surface Protection: Helps protect treated surfaces from moisture-related deterioration.
– Building Maintenance: Suitable for new construction, renovation and wall maintenance projects.

Surface Preparation

Proper surface preparation is essential for coating performance.

1. Remove dust, loose particles, flaking paint, weak plaster and other contaminants.
2. Remove oil, grease, algae and other materials that may interfere with adhesion.
3. Repair cracks, damaged plaster and surface defects using suitable repair materials.
4. Treat fungal or algae growth appropriately and allow the surface to become suitable for coating.
5. Ensure the substrate meets the moisture and surface-preparation requirements specified for the product.
6. Identify and repair active water leakage before applying the coating.

Do not apply over loose, powdery or structurally unsound surfaces.

—

Application Method

Step 1: Surface Inspection
Inspect the wall to identify cracks, leakage points, loose plaster and other defects.

Step 2: Surface Preparation
Clean the surface and complete all necessary repairs. Allow repair materials to set and dry as required.

Step 3: Product Preparation
Stir CHEMFIX DAMP X COAT thoroughly until uniform. Add water only if dilution is permitted by the approved product instructions.

Step 4: Application
Apply evenly using a suitable brush, roller or other recommended application tool.

Step 5: Additional Coats
Apply subsequent coats only after the previous coat has dried sufficiently, following the product’s technical data sheet.

Step 6: Drying and Protection
Protect the freshly coated surface from rain, excessive moisture, dust and other adverse conditions until adequately dry.

Application rate, dilution ratio, number of coats and drying time should be established from the final product formulation and verified through testing.

Important Technical Considerations

CHEMFIX DAMP X COAT is intended for wall-surface protection. It should not automatically be considered a substitute for structural waterproofing, below-ground waterproofing, roof waterproofing or a system designed to resist continuous hydrostatic pressure.

Where dampness originates from rising groundwater, leaking pipes, failed external waterproofing or water trapped behind the wall, the source must be corrected before coating.

For exterior applications, confirm the product’s resistance to UV exposure, rain and weathering through suitable testing.
