CHEMFIX QUICK SET is a high-performance PCE-based accelerating admixture specially formulated to accelerate the setting and early strength development of cement-based concrete and mortar.
It helps reduce setting time and enables faster development of early strength, making it suitable for construction applications where rapid setting, quick repair, faster finishing and reduced construction downtime are required.
CHEMFIX QUICK SET can be used in suitable concrete and mortar systems, subject to compatibility testing with the cement, mix design and other admixtures.
The PCE-based technology is designed to provide effective dispersion within cementitious systems while the accelerating action promotes faster setting and early-age strength development.
CHEMFIX QUICK SET may be evaluated with reference to EN 934-2, the European standard covering admixtures for concrete, mortar and grout.

Application Method
Step 1 – Prepare the Mix
Prepare concrete or mortar according to the approved mix design.
Ensure that cement, aggregates and water are properly proportioned.
Step 2 – Add Compatible Admixtures
Add the required compatible admixtures according to their respective technical data sheets.
Compatibility between CHEMFIX QUICK SET and other admixtures should be confirmed before use.
Step 3 – Add CHEMFIX QUICK SET
Add CHEMFIX QUICK SET according to the recommended dosage determined through laboratory or field trials.
The product should be uniformly dispersed throughout the cementitious mixture.
Step 4 – Mixing
Continue mixing until the admixture is uniformly distributed.
Avoid excessive mixing delays after adding the accelerator, as setting may begin earlier than the normal mix.
Step 5 – Placement
Place, compact and finish the concrete or mortar within the available working time.

Important Compatibility Considerations

Avoid direct premixing of CHEMFIX QUICK SET with other liquid admixtures unless specifically recommended.

Do not combine with a retarding admixture unless the complete admixture system has been tested and the required setting performance is confirmed.
