CHEMFIX MASSCRETE is a thermal crack-control admixture for mass concrete applications, particularly where heat generation and temperature differential need to be carefully managed.
It can be incorporated into properly designed concrete mixtures to help:
Control the rate of hydration and heat development
Reduce excessive temperature rise
Minimize thermal gradients within concrete
Reduce the risk of early-age thermal cracking
Maintain required workability during large concrete placements
Support durable and dimensionally stable concrete
Note: CHEMFIX MASSCRETE should be considered as one component of an overall mass-concrete temperature-control strategy. Mix design, cementitious materials, placement temperature, cooling, curing and construction procedures also have a significant influence on thermal cracking.

Uses
CHEMFIX MASSCRETE can be considered for:
-Raft foundations
-Pile caps
-Large footings
-Thick foundation slabs
-Large columns
-Bridge foundations
-Pier and abutment foundations
-Retaining structures
-Heavy structural members
-Large water-retaining structures
-Mass concrete blocks
-Large-volume concrete pours
-Other thick/restrained concrete sections

Benefits & Advantages
🌡️ Thermal Crack Control
Helps reduce the risk of cracking caused by excessive temperature rise and subsequent thermal contraction.
🔥 Heat Development Management
Helps moderate the hydration behavior of cementitious materials and manage heat development in large concrete sections.
🏗️ Suitable for Mass Concrete
Designed for applications where concrete is placed in large volumes or thick sections and heat dissipation is relatively slow.
⏱️ Controlled Setting & Workability
Depending on formulation and dosage, it can help maintain workable concrete during large-volume placement.
💪 Strength & Durability Support
By enabling controlled water demand and hydration behavior, it can support the development of durable concrete when used with a properly designed mix.
📉 Reduced Thermal Stress
Helps reduce temperature-induced internal stresses that can contribute to early-age cracking.

Application Method
CHEMFIX MASSCRETE should be added to the concrete during batching.
Recommended procedure
Prepare the concrete mix according to the approved mix design.
Add CHEMFIX MASSCRETE in the specified dosage.
Preferably dilute the required quantity in a portion of the mixing water before addition.
Mix thoroughly until uniform dispersion is achieved.
Continue mixing according to the concrete plant/mixer manufacturer’s recommended mixing time.
Place and compact the concrete properly.
Apply appropriate curing and temperature-control measures immediately after placement.
—
Packaging Size
CHEMFIX MASSCRETE can be supplied in packaging suitable for construction-site and project applications.
Available Packaging Options:
– 5 kg
– 20 kg
– 30 kg
– 220 kg Drum
Note: Actual packaging sizes should be confirmed according to the current CHEMFIX product range and customer/project requirements.

Precautions
Use only according to the recommended dosage.
Do not exceed the recommended dosage without laboratory evaluation.
Conduct trial batching before large-scale application.
Do not mix directly with other admixtures without compatibility testing.
Use appropriate PPE during handling.
Follow the project’s approved concrete mix design and temperature-control plan.
