Flexible Waterproof Crack Repair & Sealing Compound
CHEMFIX HYDROFLEX is a polymer-modified cementitious crack repair and waterproofing system designed for repairing and sealing fine, non-structural cracks and surface defects in concrete and cement-based substrates. Its acrylic-polymer-based system provides strong adhesion, improved flexibility and resistance to water penetration.
Two-component polymer-modified cementitious systems are commonly used for waterproofing concrete/masonry and sealing hairline cracks. �

Application Method
1. Surface Preparation
The surface must be:
Clean
Sound
Free from dust
Free from oil and grease
Free from loose particles
Free from laitance
Free from algae or other biological growth
Loose or weak concrete should be removed before application.
2. Crack Preparation
For suitable fine non-structural cracks, remove loose material from the crack and clean thoroughly.
For wider, deep, actively moving or structural cracks, CHEMFIX HYDROFLEX should not be treated as a substitute for an engineered structural crack-repair system.
3. Mixing
Take the required quantity of Part A Liquid in a clean mixing container.
Slowly add Part B Powder.
Mix continuously using a low-speed mechanical mixer.
Continue mixing until a smooth, lump-free and homogeneous paste is obtained.
Allow the mixture to stand briefly if required and remix before application.
Avoid excessive high-speed mixing because it may introduce unnecessary air into the mixture.
Application
Apply the mixed CHEMFIX HYDROFLEX using:
Putty knife
Steel trowel
Scraper
Suitable hand application tools
Press the material firmly into the prepared crack or surface defect.
For deeper defects, application in multiple layers may be preferable rather than applying one excessively thick layer.
Allow each layer to achieve adequate setting/curing before applying the next layer.
Surface Finishing
After application, the surface can be finished using a suitable trowel or finishing tool.
