CHEMFIX BRICK BOND is a specially formulated liquid clay modifier designed for red clay brick manufacturing. It helps improve the workability, particle binding and compaction characteristics of brick clay, supporting the production of more uniform, dense and mechanically stronger fired bricks.
It is designed to work with suitable brick-making clay and can help manufacturers optimize clay processing, reduce defects and improve the overall quality consistency of finished bricks.
These are consistent with the types of brick and structural clay-unit testing covered by ASTM C67/C67M.

Application Method
Prepare the clay according to the normal brick-production process.
Dilute the required quantity of CHEMFIX BRICK BOND with clean water if required.
Add the diluted product gradually during clay mixing.
Continue mixing until the additive is uniformly distributed throughout the clay.
Adjust moisture content to achieve the required extrusion/moulding consistency.
Proceed with moulding or extrusion.
Dry the green bricks properly before firing.
Fire according to the normal kiln schedule suitable for the specific clay.
Suggested Starting Dosage
For initial plant trials:
CHEMFIX BRICK BOND: 0.10–0.50% by weight of dry clay
A practical starting point can be:
0.20–0.30 kg per 100 kg dry clay
or
2–3 kg per 1,000 kg dry clay
The optimum dosage should be determined by laboratory and production trials because different clay sources can respond very differently.
Performance Evaluation
For product optimization, compare treated and untreated bricks under the same production conditions.
